POLICIES

We have a number of policies in order to maintain the best environment and experience possible for our clients!

By filling out our intake form and participating in our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to our policies that are put into place, in order to create the best experience possible for you pet.

VACCINATIONS

By law, it is mandatory for us to require an up to date rabies certificate in order to have your pet in our facility. Unfortunately we cannot allow any pets in our salon without a US, up to date rabies certificate that includes the expiration date of your pets vaccination. Rabies tags are not sufficient proof of vaccination. You can usually receive a copy from your vet via email. 

Due to potential side effects, tenderness and increased stress after being vaccinated, we do require a 24hr window between your pet's vaccination and their appointment with us.

MATTING

Allowing your pet's coat to become matted can have several negative consequences. Mats can cause significant discomfort and pain for your pet, as they can pull and tug on the skin, leading to irritation, bruising and potential skin infections. Matting also restricts proper air circulation, which can result in overheating, especially during warm weather conditions. Moreover, mats can trap dirt, debris, and parasites, making it difficult to maintain proper hygiene and increasing the risk of flea and tick infestations. Untreated matting can also lead to the development of hot spots and sores, which can be painful and require veterinary attention.

We take matting very seriously. Dematting increases the chances of causing harm to your pet, especially if they have thin skin. This includes the increased potential of cutting them, causing skin irritation and bruising. Cases of significant matting will result in an extra charge. Severe matting will result in an extra charge in addition to shaving your pet to the safest length that allows us to remove said matting.

FLEAS

Fleas can have a significant negative impact on a pet's health and well-being. These tiny parasites feed on a pet's blood, leading to discomfort, itching, and skin irritation. Flea bites can cause allergic reactions in some pets, resulting in severe itching, inflammation, and even hair loss. If left untreated, a flea infestation can quickly escalate, leading to a large population of fleas in the pet's environment. Fleas can also transmit various diseases and parasites, such as tapeworms, which can further compromise the pet's health. Additionally, incessant scratching and biting at flea-infested areas can cause secondary infections, leading to more serious health issues. Fleas commonly multiply not only on your pet, but in your carpet, your yard and even your neighbor's yard. It only takes two fleas to turn into thousands. 

We take fleas extremely seriously as no one's pet deserves fleas, especially by the chance that someone else's pet brought them into the salon. We highly encourage all of our clients to have their pet on an oral flea preventative prescribed by their vet, as it is the best way to prevent an outbreak of fleas.

Should your pet come into the salon with fleas, they will be provided a flea bath at an additional charge of $15-50, depending on the severity. 

SENIOR & SPECIAL NEEDS PETS

Part of our mission is to create an environment for all pets to have an ideal grooming experience. This includes senior and special needs pets. 

Our grooming salon takes every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in our care. However, it is important to understand that pets with special needs require specific attention and accommodations. While we strive to provide a safe and comfortable grooming experience, we cannot assume responsibility for any adverse reactions, injuries, or health complications that may arise during or after the grooming process for pets with special needs. It is the responsibility of the pet owner to inform us of any special conditions, sensitivities, or medical requirements their pet may have. We highly recommend consulting with a veterinarian to determine the suitability of grooming services for pets with unique needs. By availing our services, pet owners acknowledge and accept that our grooming salon and its staff shall not be held liable for any issues or incidents related to the grooming of pets with special needs.

PRIVATE APPOINTMENTS

Our private appointments are dedicated to giving your pet a calm, quiet environment for the best experience suited to their needs. Private appointments ensure that your pet is worked on with no interruptions aside from any breaks that they may need during the grooming process. They are the only pet in our salon during their appointment and can have an unkenneled experience upon request. These appointments are booked and designed in order to give enough time for your pet to be groomed in a peaceful environment and at a pace that's most comfortable for them. Private appointments are a great option for senior & special needs pets. 

A 50% deposit is required within 24hr of booking in order to reserve your time slot. This is a non-refundable deposit that does go towards the overall cost of your appointment. A new deposit will be required for any appointments rescheduled within the 48hr window prior to your original appointment.

CATS

At our grooming salon, we prioritize the safety and well-being of all cats in our care. However, it is important to acknowledge that cat grooming carries inherent risks. Cats may exhibit stress, anxiety, or resistance during grooming, which can lead to scratches or bites to both the cat and the groomer. Additionally, grooming procedures require careful handling to prevent accidental injuries, such as cuts or abrasions, as cats have extremely thin skin. While we take every precaution to minimize these risks, we want to emphasize that our grooming salon cannot be held liable for any unforeseen incidents or complications that may occur during the grooming process. By entrusting your cat to our care, you acknowledge and accept that any such incidents are beyond our control, and you release our grooming salon and its staff from any liability. We are committed to providing a safe and professional grooming experience, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the well-being of your beloved feline companion.

Due to the delicate nature of cat grooming, our availability for cats is by private appointment only. This ensures that your cat has a calm, quiet environment and a grooming experience that goes at their pace, to minimize the potential stress involved in their experience. Our private cat baths start at $100, while our private appointments for full haircuts start at $225. As stated above, any fleas or matting will result in additional charges. 

As with all of our private appointments, we do require a 50% deposit, due within 24hr of booking, in order to reserve your time slot. PETS IN HEAT

For the comfort and safety of all pets in our care, we cannot accommodate dogs that are in heat at our salon. Should a dog go into heat while at our facility, we kindly request that the appointment be rescheduled. If your pet is already in the process of being groomed, their service will be expedited and we kindly ask that they are picked up as soon as they are ready. In this event, there may be additional fees added to their groom. This policy ensures a calm and stress-free environment for all pets, while also maintaining the highest level of professionalism and hygiene in our grooming services. Your understanding and cooperation in this matter are greatly appreciated.

PROMPT PICK UP

For the convenience and well-being of all pets entrusted to our care, we kindly request that clients pick up their pets within a reasonable timeframe following grooming appointments. It is imperative for the comfort and safety of all animals in our salon that pets are collected promptly upon completion of their grooming session.

Should a client fail to pick up their pet within a reasonable time frame, a late pickup fee can be applied to their bill. This fee will be determined based on the duration of the delay and will be communicated to the client upon arrival for their appointment.

This policy ensures that our grooming salon remains organized, efficient, and able to accommodate the needs of all pets in our care. It also allows us to maintain a calm and stress-free environment, promoting the well-being of all animals during their stay with us.

LATE & LAST MINUTE CANCELLATIONS

In our commitment to providing exceptional service and respecting everyone's time, we kindly remind you of our policy regarding tardiness and last-minute cancellations. We reserve the right to implement fees for instances of tardiness and last-minute cancellations. This decision is made in consideration of the impact on our team's schedule and the inconvenience it may cause to our clients.Your cooperation in adhering to our scheduling policies is greatly appreciated as it allows us to maintain the high standards of service we aim to provide.
